I am originally from Nottingham, where I studied art at college, although I am self taught in the art of silk painting. I live in the beautiful countryside of Sussex where I work from my studio. I predominently paint on silk as I love the translucent texture which illuminates and projects colour and lends itself perfectly to my designs. Also, silk is a perfect medium for my quirky, animal paintings, as the colours are so rich and vibrant which makes them very appealing to children.

I also paint contemporary floral scenes, featuring meadows and poppies, and in these paintings I incorporate many other materials such as pastels, acrylics, metallic paints, pencil crayons, and in some cases, a batik effect, which really brings to life the paintings; these can be viewed at my other website: www.interiorimages.co.uk.

As well as selling my work online, I have sold my work through galleries and outlets across the country, including private commissions, and have generated many sales through repeat business. I also have experience of painting wall murals and was commissioned earlier this year to
paint a large mural for the local school encompassing their values in the form of an oak tree (please se photos below).
